App-ads.txt
Check every app-ads.txt file behind your apps, see which lines are missing, and copy or download the fix.
Buyers check your app-ads.txt before they bid. This page helps you keep yours up to date.
Find it
Open Bidders and select the App-ads.txt tab. The yellow count on Bidders shows how many files need attention.
What it checks
CloudX reads the developer website from each app’s App Store or Google Play listing and checks the app-ads.txt file on that domain. Each row is one file. Apps that list the same website share a file, so one fix covers all of them.
Statuses

Can’t read file
CloudX couldn’t get your file, so it can’t tell which lines are missing. The file page shows the reason.
To fix it:
- Make sure the file is public at the root of your domain, with no login, bot, or firewall rule blocking crawlers.
- Check that the developer website in your store listing is the right domain. If not, update the listing. CloudX picks up the new website on the next check.
- Select Try again.
Required and optional lines
Required lines are your cloudx.io DIRECT line, lines for the bidders you run through CloudX, and, if CloudX Exchange is on for your account, lines for its buyers. Lines marked Optional update are for buyers already in your file that you don’t run through CloudX.
To see the lines a specific bidder needs, open its page under Supported demand partners.
Fix a file
Select a row to open the file.
Copy the lines to add
Select Copy N lines, or Download full file to get your live file with the lines already added.
Update the file on your website
Replace your live file with the updated one, at the URL shown, for example https://example.com/app-ads.txt.
Verify
Select I’ve updated it, check again. The result shows in a few minutes.
