CloudX Exchange

More demand on eligible line items and ad formats through CloudX Exchange.

CloudX Exchange participates in your auction as a bidder.

Exchange demand competes on the same terms as everything else in your auction: same targeting, same round assignment, and the same floor.

Manage every third-party bidder in CloudX Exchange as one bidder in your line items. No SDK update or adapter is required. Exchange partners bid only on the ad formats they support.

We turn on the exchange for you

An admin accepts the addendum

An admin on your account accepts the CloudX Exchange addendum in the dashboard. Existing publishers see it at their next sign-in. New publishers accept it with the publisher terms at sign-up. Only one admin needs to accept; until then, other users on the account see a notice instead of the dashboard.

CloudX Exchange is selected on your line items

If your account manager hasn’t turned CloudX Exchange on or off for your account before, accepting the terms turns it on and selects it on the line items in your live configuration. New line items then start with CloudX Exchange selected under Bidders. If you later publish a config draft saved before you accepted, check that CloudX Exchange is still selected.

It is not selected on line items whose only bidders are CloudX Direct or AppLovin waterfall, on native reel line items, or, at acceptance, on line items locked by an A/B test or part of an active CloudX-managed A/B comparison.

If CloudX Exchange was already on for your account, accepting leaves your line items as they are: select it under Bidders where you want it. If it was switched off, contact your CloudX account manager.

Check app-ads.txt

CloudX Exchange demand fills only on apps whose app-ads.txt file includes the CloudX lines. Add the lines if they are missing.

Opt a line item out

  1. Open the line item and click Edit.
  2. In General, deselect CloudX Exchange under Bidders. If it is the only bidder, select another bidder first: a line item needs at least one.
  3. Click Save and confirm the update.

The line item keeps its other bidders. To use CloudX Exchange on it again, select it under Bidders. To turn it off for your whole account, contact your CloudX account manager.
